Free Library in a Medieval Village

A beautiful cultural initiative was born in Portico di Romagna: a library with thousands of volumes based on book sharing : the sharing of books that are freely accessible. Readers can take them home and, if they want, they can bring other volumes in exchange ( there are, of course, books recorded in bookcrossing). An invitation, therefore, to the reading and circulation of texts (in any language) which takes place in a very appropriate setting: the library is located near Palazzo Portinari, the residence of the family from which came the famous Beatrice of Dante Alighieri. The library, which carries out various cultural activities, is also the headquarters of the Italian Storytelling Center, an international initiative whose activities take place in this charming medieval village.

The library is open every day
